On March 22, in Hanoi, the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association held the 7th National Congress of Delegates, term 2021-2026, in both face-to-face and online form.
Attending the Congress were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Parliamentary Group Truong Thi Mai; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh; representatives of leaders of central committees, ministries, branches and mass organizations; representatives of the Hanoi Party Committee, leaders of some localities. Also attending were Mr. Yamada Takio, Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam and representatives of Japanese organizations in Vietnam. At the bridge point of Hau Giang province, there were Mr. Pham Van Ngay - Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Province Union of Friendship Organizations, Mr. Le Hoang Xuyen and Mr. Ngo Minh Long - Vice Chairmans of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association in Hau Giang province.
At the Congress, the delegates elected the Executive Board consisting of 62 members, the Leadership Board consisting of the President, 5 Vice Presidents and General Secretary, and the Inspection Committee consisting of 3 members. Mr. To Huy Rua, former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Organization Committee, and Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association was elected President of the VII term. Mr. Le Hoang Xuyen, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association, Director of the High-tech Agricultural Park in Hau Giang province was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Central Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association.
