The ceremony commemorates the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Mongolia (November 17, 1954 - November 17, 2024).
The ceremony was attended by Jadamba Enkhbayar, Member of Parliament, Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry of Mongolia, and Chairman of the Mongolian Subcommittee in the Vietnam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee; Le Minh Hoan, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, and Chairman of the Vietnamese Subcommittee in the Vietnam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee; Jigjee Sereejav, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Vietnam; and Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.

The event was also attended by officials and staff from the Mongolian Embassy in Vietnam, members of the Vietnam-Mongolia Friendship Association, Vietnamese alumni of Mongolian universities, and Mongolian students currently studying in Vietnam.

In his remarks, Minister Le Minh Hoan highlighted the longstanding friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia over the past 70 years. He noted that both countries, driven by a shared wish for peace, have consistently worked to strengthen their ties in various fields, including politics, economics, trade and investment, defense and security, education, culture, sports, and tourism.

Particularly, people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Mongolia have flourished over the decades, laying a robust foundation for the bilateral friendship. Vietnam-Mongolia friendship organizations, with their broad public participation and diverse activities, have been instrumental in fostering and advancing ties between the peoples of the two countries.

"During the official visit of General Secretary and President To Lam to Mongolia in September 2024, leaders of both countries agreed to elevate bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Partnership. I firmly believe that, with the strong foundation of our long-standing friendship and each country's development strengths, our partnership will thrive in the future," said Minister Le Minh Hoan.

Minister Jadamba Enkhbayar emphasized the potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia in sectors such as agriculture, education, transportation, environment, and mining. In particular, both governments have been discussing ways to promote agricultural collaboration, paving the way for successful business-to-business meetings between Vietnamese and Mongolian enterprises. These efforts have already resulted in the signing of several MoUs, laying the groundwork for future joint projects.

Quoting the adage, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together,” Minister Jadamba Enkhbayar emphasized Mongolia’s readiness to partner with Vietnam on the path to shared growth.

Accordingly, the Mongolian government remains committed to improving investment policies, ensuring a stable and long-term business environment, and fostering mutually beneficial business activities. These initiatives aim to enhance the quality of life for the people of both countries.
