VUFO Coordinates With VESAMO to Organize Academic, Business Exchanges

At the meeting with the Association of Korean People Loving Vietnam (VESAMO) delegation, on July 3 in Hanoi, Phan Anh Son, vice president, general secretary of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) said that VUFO and the Vietnam-Republic of Korea Friendship Association are willing to cooperate with VESAMO to organize academic exchange programs, and business connections between the two countries.
Attending the meeting were Pham Tien Van, vice-president of the Vietnam-Republic of Korea Friendship Association, representative of the Asia-Africa Department, People's Aid Coordinating Committee (VUFO).
Appreciating the significance of this visit to Vietnam by the VESAMO delegation after a period of interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Phan Anh Son said that over the years, VESAMO made positive and comprehensive contributions in many aspects, many fields in order to cultivate and promote the Vietnam - RoK relations.
"VESAMO carried out many meaningful and practical activities with Vietnam, such as helping families in difficult circumstances, victims of war, and Agent Orange victims.
VESAMO also supported Vietnam in matters related to territorial sovereignty, and promoting the two countries' friendship," said Phan Anh Son.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed a new cooperation mechanism to promote the relationship between VESAMO and VUFO, the Vietnam-Republic of Korea Friendship Association.
Agreeing with the proposals of Phan Anh Son, Chang Ho Ick, president of VESAMO said, the Association will continue to innovate, diversify forms of activities, cooperate closely with VUFO in cohesive activities, people-to-people exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
According to Chang Ho Ick, VESAMO implemented many programs to help Agent Orange/dioxin victims.
The Association awarded scholarships to disadvantaged students in Vietnam and supported Vietnamese students in the RoK.
VESAMO also organized a number of academic exchange seminars for researchers of the two countries in the RoK.
