The topic was discussed between Phan Anh Son, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), and Bader Abdulla Almatrooshi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Vietnam, which was held on August 14 in Hanoi.

Ambassador Bader Abdulla Almatrooshi said the relationship between Vietnam and the UAE has prospered in multiple sectors. The year 2023 marked the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relations. There have been regular exchanges of high-level delegations. The economic partnership has flourished, with the UAE standing as Vietnam's leading trade and investment partner in the Middle East. The two countries' bilateral trade volume reached 4.7 billion USD in 2023. The UAE Embassy is focused on bolstering cooperation in cultural, sports, and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations in the coming time.

Phan Anh Son stated that the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations is willing to collaborate with the UAE Embassy in Vietnam to enhance bilateral relations through people-to-people channels. This includes activities like seminars, discussions, exchange of delegations, and academic and educational cooperation. Concurrently, the VUFO President expresses the hope that Ambassador Bader Abdulla Almatrooshi will facilitate connections between VUFO and partners in the UAE.

Both sides have agreed to keep exchanging information and to continue their cooperation in future activities.
