Thai Embassy Provides Assistance for Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association's Activities

Thai Embassy in Vietnam presented THB 50,000 (USD 1,520) to support activities of Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association.

The Central Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association on September 24 received a donation of THB 50,000 (equivalent to VND 34 million) from the Thai Embassy in Vietnam to support the association's activities.

Speaking at the Hanoi meeting, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam, Urawadee Sriphiromya, said that this support exemplifies the positive role of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association in promoting bilateral relations between the two countries. The association not only contributes to strengthening relations between the two countries but also closely cooperates with the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association, expanding exchanges and cooperation between the people of the two countries.
Ambassador Urawadee Sriphiromya expressed her sympathy with the Vietnamese people for the severe damage caused by Super Typhoon Yagi, known in Vietnam as Typhoon No. 3, and shared that Thailand was also severely affected by this storm. She voices her hope that the support would contribute to further strengthening the friendship between the two countries and create more resources for the association in its upcoming activities.

Ambassador Urawadee Sriphiromya also announced a series of cultural events "Amazing Thailand: Your stories never end" organized by the Thai Embassy in Vietnam next week. These art and cultural programs aim to enhance people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. She hoped the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association and its members would actively participate in these activities.

Senior Lieutenant General, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, former member of the Party Central Committee, vice chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, president of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association, expressed his gratitude for the support from the Thai Embassy in Vietnam. He assures the money will be used effectively by the association to help Vietnamese people overcome the consequences of storms and floods.
Sharing about his recent working trip to Thailand, Thanh expressed his impression of Thailand's "30-30-30" education and training model, with 30% theory, 30% practice and 30% soft skills development. He believes this model can bring many valuable lessons to Vietnam.

Regarding the invitation to attend a series of cultural events of the Thai Embassy, Thanh affirmed that the association and its members will participate, contributing to promoting cultural exchanges between the people of the two countries.

Ambassador Urawadee Sriphiromya on September 20 presented a diplomatic note to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, announcing that the Thai Government would support THB 2 million (USD 60.990) for people in the northern provinces of Vietnam affected by storm No. 3. Earlier, on September 22, the Thai Embassy in Vietnam also prepared 300 relief bags to send to people in the flood-hit areas of northern Vietnam.
