The Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association in Europe was officially established in Berlin on February 28, aiming to connect Vietnamese business communities across the continent and foster knowledge sharing and collaboration, VNA reported.
At the launch ceremony, held at the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany and linked online to multiple European locations, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh praised the initiative, emphasizing its role in strengthening ties between Vietnam and Europe.
He highlighted the association’s potential to support Vietnam’s economic growth and enhance cooperation amid Vietnam-EU efforts to elevate relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The association seeks to connect both Vietnamese-owned businesses in Europe and Vietnam-based enterprises investing in the region. It features advisory boards and specialized committees focused on business, investment, technology, legal affairs, and international cooperation.
Deputy Director of the National Innovation Centre (NIC), Do Tien Thinh, noted the association’s alignment with Vietnam’s drive for economic transformation and administrative reforms. He expressed his hope for collaboration in innovation and business expansion from Europe to global markets and back to Vietnam.
Newly elected President Tran Ha My outlined the association’s vision as a bridge for Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Europe, contributing to technology transfer, foreign investment, and policy advocacy.
She emphasized the need to enhance the presence of Vietnamese businesses in both economic and political spheres.
The founding members of the association share the same view that young Vietnamese resources in Europe are very disconnected, especially the 2nd and 3rd generations are almost disconnected with Vietnam, especially in business.
It is also because of this reality that the association was established with the aim of strengthening connections within Europe with each other and with Vietnam, supplementing resources for each other and together overcoming cultural barriers during integration, creating a young community full of strength and enthusiasm, full of desire for the era of national development and working together to create a new future for the next generation.
The association aims to organize annual flagship events, monthly networking sessions with European partners, and diplomatic engagement through Vietnamese embassies, fostering stronger Vietnam-Europe business ties.
