Vietnam - Canada Strengthens Cultural, Artistic and People-to-people Cooperation

The Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam, Shawn Steil, has noted that the Canadian Embassy has been actively organizing a variety of cultural, artistic, and bilateral cooperation events recently. These activities include hosting concerts and bringing Canadian artists to perform in Vietnam. Additionally, on November 2, 2023, the Embassy, in collaboration with VUFO, held a Friendship Meeting to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Canada diplomatic relations.

Ambassador Shawn Steil highly appreciated the role of VUFO in connecting partners in many regions and fields. He thanked VUFO and the Vietnam - Canada Friendship Association for coordinating with the Embassy in organizing activities in Vietnam.

Phan Anh Son conveyed his happiness regarding the successful events recently held by the Embassy. The VUFO President expressed gratitude towards the Canadian Government and various NGOs for their support in Vietnam's socio-economic growth and efforts in poverty alleviation.

The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations aims to maintain its collaboration with the Canadian Embassy to enhance the camaraderie between the two nations through people-to-people connections. This will be conducted by engaging in activities like cultural and artistic exchanges, sharing information, and connecting businesses, artists, universities, among others.
