At the meeting, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung affirmed that people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and India have been vibrant and effective in recent times. These activities have significantly enhanced mutual understanding between the people of the two countries, forming a solid foundation for the Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The 12th Vietnam-India People's Friendship Festival serves as an opportunity for the people of both countries to learn about each other’s cultures and people through various exchange activities and performances. It is also a platform for delegates to discuss innovations in the organization and effectiveness of the festival.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung highlighted that digital transformation and emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), are opening up new ways to enhance the efficiency of friendship exchange programs. He suggested that organizations in both countries consider leveraging technological platforms to host online forums and seminars on topics such as economy, culture, and education. Additionally, social media platforms could be utilized to establish channels for people from both nations to connect and exchange.
Furthermore, Minister Hung stressed the importance of fostering relations between the younger generations of Vietnam and India through scholarship exchange programs, collaborations between educational institutions, and youth-focused initiatives such as innovation and entrepreneurship competitions.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary-General of AIPSO Harchand Singh affirmed that Vietnam holds a special place in the hearts of the Indian people.
He expressed his delight at witnessing Vietnam's socio-economic development in recent years and emphasized that the two countries have great potential for cooperation in areas such as economy, education, and information technology.
At the event, Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Nguyen Ngoc Hung noted that the 12th Vietnam-India People's Friendship Festival is co-organized by VUFO, VIFA, and AIPSO. The festival, having been held consistently over 12 editions, highlights its vitality and significance.
The 12th festival, taking place in Vietnam from December 16 to 21, 2024, features a diverse array of activities such as seminars, visits to economic and cultural institutions, sightseeing tours, and artistic exchanges in Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, and Ho Chi Minh City.
