Meeting scene
Recently, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations held a workshop to review, share experiences in implementing the project School Building and Environment Program and projects orientatation in the next time between Saigonchildren and the locality.
In the period 2014-2021, Saigonchildren has mobilized about 26 billion VND to build 84 classrooms at 37 schools in Long My district and Phung Hiep district. This, in turn, makes a great contribution to gradually improving the facilities and the quality of teaching and learning. However, the reality shows that a number of items is still not well preserved after being put into use, leading to degradation and garbage in some places.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thoai, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, said that Hau Giang is a poor, difficult province,  an area of limited education opportunitie so the local leaders pay attention to mobilize many sources to contribute to the locality. Therefore, projects that have been handed over and put into use need the responsibility for preservation. In which, main responsibilities belongs to districts and towns and principals. The Department of Education and Training must check the maintenance to promote the effectiveness of sponsored schools in order to create a cleaner and better learning place for students as well as to mobilize upcoming funding.
Sharing with the orientation of Saigonchildren, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thoai said that computer learning and online learning is very appropriate at this time. The province is also very interested in mobilizing funding for this field such as opening computer classrooms, online learning lines, phones, computers for students, etc. to promptly respond to trends of education. Hopefully, in the near future, Saigonchildren with its relationships will keep up the suppoprt for the province. The locality is committed to promote and to use the past projects effectively.
