Access to digital skills education for students in Tien Giang and Hau Giang
Intel Products Vietnam Co., Ltd. (IPV) cooperates with Dariu Foundation to organize the handover ceremony of 150 laptops and 10 robots to support Microbit programming skills, with a total value of more than 1.5 billion VND to 5 schools in Tien Giang and Hau Giang provinces. Mr. Le Minh Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Haugiang Province Union of Friendship Organizations attends the ceremony.
Specifically, Computers were given to 5 schools, including 3 schools in Tien Giang province, namely Vo Van Chinh Secondary School, Tan Thanh 2 Primary School, and Nguyen Thi Tu Primary School and 2 schools in Hau Giang province, namely Vi Thuy 2 Primary School and Xa Phien 2 Primary School.
This activity is part of the project " Digital Literacy Initiative " implemented by the Dariu Foundation in Vietnam since 2011, in order to create opportunities for students to access digital skills, especially programming skills for rural students in remote and mountainous areas of Vietnam. These are basic and essential skills that children need to successfully integrate into the digital world in the future, contributing to promote the country's digital transformation in Vietnam. With this donation, Intel Products Vietnam and the Dariu Foundation create opportunities to directly access the digital literacy program for about 5,000 students each year.
Since 2013, Intel Products Vietnam has accompanied The Dariu Foundation to promote the program of digital skills for Vietnamese children, participating in many initiatives such as the establishment of mobile classrooms, mobile libraries, creating opportunities to access technology education for tens of thousands of rural students. In 2021, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Intel's operation in Vietnam, Intel Products Vietnam donated to The Dariu Foundation with 150 laptops and 10 robots. Along with Intel's sponsorship, in 2022 The Dariu Foundation aims to lend laptops to about 160 schools, supporting provinces to train about 3,000 teachers, and digital skills education for about 400,000 students.
